Show DESCIONS!!

Shows I am considering seeing when I go NY In August

At this point it is between.....

  1. Jersey Boys
  2. Lion King
  3. Promises Promises
  4. West Side Story
  5. La Cages Aux Folles

Based on much discussion and various opinons on Broadwayspace my list has changed quite drastically. A Little Night Music is totally eliminated.

Reasons why

1. The plot of the show does not seem interesting.

2. I recently brought the soundtrack and there were only about 5 or 10 songs that I thought were amazing. I was amazingly impressed by friend Ramona's voice because I had never heard her sing before.

3. Catherine Zeta Jones and Angela Lanbury are set to leave the show on June 20th and the show will definitley not be the same without them. I'm sure their understudies are really talented but I am not really sure if they will be able to find people of their caliber to replace them.

As much as I really do want to see South Pacific I think it would be better to see a show that Matt or I has not seen yet. This also eliminates seeing HAIR with the new cast as much as I am dying to see it and see Jay play Claude.

Reasons behind the selections I have chosen

1. My parents saw the tour in Chicago last summer and raved about how good it was. I haven't heard a lot of the music from it but it sounds like something I would really like.

2. I have heard this show is amazing and have been meaning to see it for three or four years now.

3. One name... Kristin Chenoweth!!

4. I have been dying to see this play on Broadway since I first saw the movie in 9th grade English class when were studying Romeo and Juliet.

5. I recently rented a PBS miniseries about the history of Broadway Musicals and a snipit from the original La Cage Aux Folles caught my attention. Seems like it would be a great show to see.

Update: After much discussion we decided to see Jersey Boys and Come Fly With Me. I look foward to seeing both these shows!

2010 Tony Award Nominations

The Tony Nominations are going to be announced on Tuesday morning at 8:30am. I am excited to see what shows will get nominations. Having not seen any of the shows it would be hard to make predictions of who will get nominated and furthur down the line who will win. I really hope that A Little Night Music will win for best revival. I think best leading actress in a musical would be hard to choose. I really hope Allie Trimm gets a nod for her role as Kim Macafee in Bye Bye Birdie. I didn't hear good overall reviews of that show but I heard her performance was amazing.

Let's see who gets nominated. I anxiously await Tuesday morning.

American Idol/Glee Weekly Update

American Idol/Glee Weekly Update
April 27th
Let me begin by saying that I had really high expectations for this season of Glee and after the first three shows I am still waiting for something that will impress me. Nothing has really caught my attention yet. In this week's episode the character that honestly stood out the most to me was Mercedes. She tries out to be a Cheerios and doesn't do well with dealing with the preassure of the tryouts. It takes a talk with Quinn for her to realize that she is beautiful on the inside and outside something that she had a hard time dealing with. Her rendition of Christina Aguliera's Beautiful was phenominal... of course it doesn't top I'm Telling You I'm Not Going but it was still amazing. I never really liked Mercedes's character that much but after tonight's episode I have gained a new apperciation and respect for her. Kristen Chenoweth reprised her role as April Rhodes and she was amazing!! I loved the song that her and Will (Matthew Morrison) sang together. An interesting relationship twist I didn't see coming Kurt's dad and Finn's mom.. I wonder where that will lead. There was discussion close to the end of episode between Finn and Kurt about breaking up the relarionship between their parents but I hope doesn't happen. It would be interesting to see where that could lead and if it will strentghen the bond between Finn and Kurt.
Overall, as stated above so far I am not at all impressed with this season of Glee. If something interesting does not start to happen soon I may lose interest.
Tonight''s American Idol theme was the song book of Shania Twain. I was excited when I heard that this was going to be the theme this week as I have been a HUGE Shania fan since 8th grade. For the most part the performances were good tonight the only person I was disappointed with was Lee.
Ratings 1- Horrible 10- Amazing
Bottom
Lee
Song You're Still The One
Rating (1-10) 5
He has done much better performances than this one. This performance was very boring and uninteresting. I have typically voted for him... this week my vote went to Big Mike.
Middle
Aaron
Song: You've Got A Way
Rating : 8
Comments: His best performance. I haven't been a huge fan of his but I liked this one best out of all his performances he has done to this point in the compettion. Beautiful and very captivating
Big Mike
Rating 7
Comments: Out of the guys he has been the most consistant except for a few pitchy performances. This was by FAR my favorite performance of his
Top
Casey
Song: Don't
Rating 8
Comments: He was completly in his element tonight. Loved his performance though I have no familiarity with the song whatsoever.
Crystal
Rating 10
Comments: She had really good connection with the song and the audience. All her performances have been good but this one stood out to me as one of her best.
Siobhann
Song: Any Man Of Mine
Rating 9
Song: Flawless. Would have been twenty times better without the screaming at the end of it.
Tonight's results were shocking! The bottom 3 were Big Mike Casey and Sibohann. Sibohann went home. I was so disappointed with this because I thought last night was one of her better performances out of all the ones from recent weeks. There goes all the New England representation. :(
Next week's theme is Frank Sinatra and the mentor is Harry Connick Jr. I am still holding out hope they will do a Broadway theme and pick Stephen Sondheim's songbook. The time in this season is running really short though.

Writing a play

So one of my ongoing projects is writing a play that is to be used in community theatre. My original goal was to write a play based on show from every season that the theatre I interned out three summers ago the New London Barn Playhouse has done. The more I think about the more this may not work because for one thing I have had a lot of personal issues that I have been dealing with over the past couple years in relation to that theatre.. it's a long story but for some reason I don't think that play series is a good idea anymore. The other issue is that I am largely using other people's characters and there could be a lot of copyright infringement issues with that. The thing that would make the most sense to do would be to find the companies that original produced the musical (ex: Little Shop of Horrors) and ask them to use rights to their characters. That might take a while and I am hoping to produce that play in at least a year. My Little Shop of Horrors where are they now script is still being worked on.. lots of people have given me feedback on it. especially my former boss from the Barn Playhouse Nancy Barry who used it with her acting class in the fall.

So I am trying to come up with original material to write a play about and this is where writer's block has a negative affect on me. I could write a social issues play about Bullying because that has been in the news a lot lately especially with what happened with Pheobe Prince. When I worked at the Barn Playhouse I helped direct a youth theatre play based on my mom's children's book Bravery Soup. Kids from an elementary school in Pensylvania sent her an email the other day with suggestions about what happened to the guy who lives in the cave that Carlin gets the box from so that might be an interesting thing to write a play about.

Writer's block affects me on so many levels.. this being one of them :/ Does anyone have any suggestions?

American Idol Glee Weekly Update

American Idol/Glee Weekly Update

4/22

American Idol

Theme:Inspirational Songs

1. Casey

Song: Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow

Rating 4

Comments: Not a fan of this performance. It definitley was not one of his strong songs and it could possbily land him in the bottom this week.

2. Lee

Song: The Boxer

Rating: 7

Comments: He is definitley starting to improve a lot..especially in the confidence department. I really liked his song choice this week.

3. Tim

Song: Better Days

Rating:8

Comments: Really powerful song. One of his better performances.

4. Aaron

Song: I Believe I Can Fly

Rating: 7.5

Comments: For the most part he has been pretty consistant with his performances. This one was one of his best with the exeption of a few pitch problems.

5. Siobhann

Song When You Believe

Rating 9

Comments: Finally! A performance without a lot of screaming and by far a better song choice then others she has gotten in recent weeks. One of my favorite performances by her..right up there with Paint It Black.

6. Big Mike

Song: Hero

Rating 4.5

Comments: I agree with Kara's critique. Definitley not one of his best performances. Last week's performance of In The Ghetto stood out more to me. He could easily be in the bottom this week.

7. Crystal

Song: People Get Ready

Rating: 8

Comments: A very mellow song that helped me to relax after a busy day at work. She has been consistant since the beginnng and I think she is definitley going to make it to the finale. I have been a fan of hers since the beginning. If she doesn't get into the finale I willl be very upset.

The results show was way too long with all the Idol Gives Back stuff.. I'm surprised I stayed up for the whole thing. The performances were not impressive at all. In fact the only ones that I liked were Elton John and Carrie Underwood. This week's bottom 3 were Casey Aaron and Tim. Big Mike should have been in the bottom instead of Aaron because his performance was the worst one and he picked a very non-inspirational song. Aaron did FABULOUS with I Believe I Can Fly. Tim went home..which was not shocking. He has been in the bottom three times. Overall he is a very mediocre performance and I honestly think he should have been eliminated several weeks ago.

Remaining Contestants: Casey, Crystal, Lee, Aaron, Siobhann, Big Mike

Next week Shania Twain is mentoring and they are singing songs from her catalouge of songs. I will have to agree with a majority of the posters on AI message board by saying they should have gone with a country theme instead of just focussing on soley Shania's songs. I have nothing against Shania. I've been a fan of hers since 7th grade but I think the boys will struggle with this theme.. at least Lee and Big Mike will anyways. It could be hit or miss for Aaron and Casey depending on song choice... they do well with country songs. Crystal and Siobhann willl do well regardless and hopefully Siobhann will finally break out of her bad song choice rut.

Songs I think they should sing

Big Mike C'Est La Vie

Aaron If You Want To Touch Her Ask

Casey From This Moment

Crystal Man I Feel Like A Woman or UP!

Lee Forever and For Always

Siobhann Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?

GLEE!

One name Madonna! Something that is not sitting well with me this season is the realtionship that is starting to bud between Rachel and Jesse (the main guy on the opposing Glee team played by Jonathan Groff) This has already made the rest of the people really upset and I have a feeling after this episode tensions could continue to boil between Rachel and the rest of the Glee club members. Generally speaking I am not impressed with season 2 of Glee so far. This particular episode seemed to be too focussed on sex.. themes not apporpriate for certain ages groups of the audience Glee is catering to. The plot seems to be getting boring.. last season there seemed to be so much more drama. I think if the writers don't step up their game then they could up losing a lot of diehard viewers..including me.

and as much as I despise Sue Sylvester's character this is the best music video from Glee EVER! Apparently Jane Lynch was on Broadway.. no idea what show she was in.

Brief blurb

I have to go to work in 20 minutes and don't have anything of substanial worth to really update update on... let's see what I can think of.

This week's American Idol theme is Inspirational Songs which I think is an excellent theme especially with the high school and college graduation season fast approaching. I am interested to see what songs the contestants pick and hope that someone picks My Wish by Rascal Flatts because I think that song fits the theme perfectly. Alicia Keys is a mentor which is equally as exciting.

I brought the A Little Night Music revival cast recording at the mall two weeks ago. I am very excited to listen to it. I have two songs from the original recording on my IPOD and have listened to them a lot since I downloaded them though I think I perfer Send In The Clowns to In Praise of Women

Still suffering from horrible writer's block for my fan fiction. It's getting frusturating that I can't come up with anything to write about. I have a whole list of show/showtunes I can write fics about but no inspiration to back it up. :/

My next tech project is Wizard of Oz with Riverbend Youth Company. Tech week isn't for another two weeks and I am anxious to get working on the show. I sat in on rehearsal last night while doing interviews for my next Milford Cabinet article. It is coming along mangficantly. :)

Fan Fiction Mashups

Okay so you know how they do mash ups of different songs on GLEE? I thought why not do the same type of thing for my fanfiction? I need new stuff to write about then just Little Shop of Horrors. One of my most recent Little Shop fics is a combination of charcters from Little Shop Annie Get Your Gun and Oaklahoma and I thought that turned out pretty well. Right now however I have really bad writer's block and new material to write about is falling short. That's where I figured other people's opinons would come in.

Possible mash ups
No idea whatsoever of plot lines To read my LSOH/AGYG/Oaklahoma Mashup go to my fanfiction website : http://fanfiction.net/showtunediva and read the story Epilouge To The Three Matchmakers.

Please note: Out of the shows listed below I have not seen the following and while I may have some familiarity with the songs I need some help with character development.
Spelling Bee 42nd Street Pirates of Penzance Company Children of Eden

Grease/25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
CATS/Bye Bye Birdie (that could be very interesting.. not sure how those two musicals would really work together)
42nd St/ Pirates of Penzance
Carosuel/Company
Anything Goes/ Cabaret
Forbidden Broadway (it would be hard to find something to mash this up since this basically parodies other musicals)
Godspell/Annie
Children Of Eden/ The Producers

Any suggestions of other shows I could do mash ups with or story plot lines would be most appreciated. Thanks A Ton!

American Idol/Glee Weekly Update

American Idol and Glee Weekly Update
April 13th
We'll start with Glee. The season premiere highly exceeded my expectations and I am excited about the rest of the season. Idina Menzel guest starred which was what I was most looking foward to about the episode. She played the coach of the oppposing Glee Club. I thought the looked close to an older version of Lea Michele who plays Rachel and my mom agreeed. There was a ton of drama in this episode. Teri came back into the picture breifly to pick up her dvds and mentioned to Emma that a song she and Will had danced to a few scenes before was the song they'd danced to at the prom their junior year. I felt really bad for Emma because she obviously really liked Will but like she said to him he needs to work a lot of stuff out. Rachel met up with the heartthrob of the opposing team played by Jonathan Groff which made the other members of the club furious and Sue sends out Brittany and Santana after Finn to make Rachel jealous. The whole Santana/Brittany thing came off to me a little odd. It seemed to me like they were lesbians but I couldn't tell.. that would make for a very interesting plot dynamic..i'm not sure how exactly. Also Brittany's character is kind of a ditz and I get continously annoyed by her. " Are dolphins a type of gay shark?" I mean come on.
Tonight's American Idol theme was Elvis Presley and the mentor was none other than last season's runner up Adam Lambert. He gave the contestants really awesome advice and unlike Miley Cyrus he was a good choice for a mentor. The judges were finally less nitpicky about song choice which made me enjoy the show even more and it just seemed to flow more nicely. Three people redeemed themshleves from horrible performances last week and those people were Tim with his rendition of Can't Help Falling In Love With You (my mom and dad's wedding song), Big Mike's rendition of In The Ghetto and Siobhann's rendition of Suspicious Minds. All performances that are worth the download in my opinion. Crystal continues to hold steady and so does Lee. Andrew totally ruined Hound Dog. Why oh why is he still in this compettion?
Ratings
Aaron Blue Suede Shoes 5.5
Andrew Hound Dog 4
Casey Lawdy Ms Claudy ( i think I may have misheard the title) 7.5
Crystal Saved 9
Katie Baby What Are You Gonna Do? 10 One word that describes her is DIVA!
Big Mike In The Ghetto 9
Lee Little Less Conversation 9
Siobhann Suspicious Minds 8
Tim Can't Help Falling In Love 7
Bottom 2 Predictions Aaron and Andrew
Results! Not to be cheesy but it was music to my ears when Andrew got eliminated. He should have been gone weeks and weeks ago. Katie was the shocker I really was expectiong either Aaron or Tim to go home and not her. She may have struggled in the beginning but she has improved a lot over the past couple weeks. Results show performances Adam Lambert...meh Brooke White and ?? ( I forgot the guy's name... they were both in season 7.) Pretty good.
Top 7 Crystal Casey Sibohann Big Mike Tim Aaron Lee
Next week's theme /mentor Inspirational Songs /Alicia Keys Another great mentor choice
Songs I'd like to see the contestants sing:
Big Mike Dance With My Father Luther Vandross- He is good at singing very soulful and emotionally captivating numbers.
Lee You've Got A Friend James Taylor
Casey Live Like You Were Dying Tim McGraw
Aaron My Wish Rascal Flatts He does really good with country. If he does this song it will redeem him from the horrible performances he has had recently.
Tim You've Got A Friend James Taylor
Crystal Reflection Christina Augliera She needs to change it up a little. I am actually starting to get kind of bored with her performances though for the most part they have been good.
Siobhann You're The Inspiration Chicago
Group Song: Don't Stop Believing Journey

What to see what to see

I recently found out that Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta Jones are slated to leave A Little Night Music on June 20th. This makes me very disappointed because when I heard they were in the show that was main hook that got me to want to go see it because I am a huge fan of CZJ and Angela well she's pretty much considered Broadway royalty in my book. It is so cool that my friend Ramona from the Barn Playhouse gets the opportunity to work with them. Darn budget constraints. I wish I could get to NY before June but I can't unfortunately. :( Hopefully they find people to replace them so the show will stay open but I have a feeling it won't be the same.

So now that I have heard this news I have to rethink what show I want to see
My options
South Pacific which closes the exact weekend I will be down there. That's on the top of my list. My boyfriend already saw it and he said it was amazing. not really sure if he'd want to see the same show twice.. same thing would apply to seeing HAIR again with the new cast.
I kinda of wanna see HAIR again with the new cast. I LOVE DIANA DIGRAMO she was my favorite on American Idol in season 3. and it would be an added bonus if I got to see Jay perform as Claude since I haven't gotten the chance to see him perform yet.
Jersey Boys My parents saw this in Chicago last summer and raved about it. Seriously considering seeing this.
Billy Elliot I've heard amazing things about this... and it must be amazing if it won so many Tonys last year.
Sondheim on Sondhiem I have recently become a Sondheim fan and love the music from all his shows. Including A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd and Into The Woods.
West Side Story One of my favorite musicals of all time. I have been dying to see this on Broadway for YEARS!

Other shows I have heard things about include FELA

In the news

http://omg.yahoo.com/news/vanessa-hudgens-cast-as-mimi-in-la-run-of-rent/38956?nc

So I saw something on Broadwaysecrets about Vanessa Hudgens being cast as Mimi in RENT for the Hollywood Bowl performance in August. I almost did a double take when I saw that post and hoped to god it was a rumor. The article above proves that it is indeed true.

This totally digusts me as a RENT fan. I think Vanessa Hudgens will totally ruin the part of Mimi and thus far all of the teeny boopers will catch on to the RENT craze due to her highly acclaimed fame in HSM.

YAY FOR THE BEATLES

Week 7 American Idol Top 9

Theme Lennon/MCCartney Song Book
Top 9: Aaron, Andrew, Casey, Big Mike,Lee,Tim, Crystal ,Katie,Siobhann
Ratings: Aaron 7 Andrew 9 Casey 8.5 Lee 8 Tim 7 Crystal and Katie 10 Siobhann 8.5 Big Mike 6

Started watching a little late tonight because I was catching up on reading my email. Missed Aaron's performance of Long and Winding Road but from the clip I saw of it when they were reshowing the voting phone numbers it looked pretty good. Based on the short snipit I saw I give it a 7. We will start the performance summaries at the # 2 spot. Katie gave another great performance singing a Beatles song that I can connect to on a personal level Let It Be. She has continued to get consistantly better in the past couple weeks. It was between her and Crystal for the vote but Crystal won out. She has also been really consistant since the beginning and her performance of Come Together was great.. I would say it definitley topped Kris Allen's take on it from last season. Tim's performance of All My Lovin exceeded my expectations as I have found him in recent weeks to be quite boring, He may redeem himself from being in the bottom 3 and I hope Katie does as well. Casey sang the only song I did not have any familiarity with Jealous Guy and I thought it was his most powerful performance yet. Big Mike didn't impress me at this week. His past two performances have had a lot more wow factor in my honest opinion. Sibohann bounced back from last week's not so good performance. She sang Across The Universe and I beleive Kara hit the nail on the head with saying she really connected with the song. I got the same vibe from her. Andrew continued to stay on a good path this week with singing an energetic rendition of Can't Buy Me Love. Lee closed out the show with a captivating (and vote getting) performance of Hey Jude one of my all time fave Beatles songs.

I go to bed a very happy Beatles Fan. Let's see what the results show holds.

PS I have begun to warm up to the fact that Ellen is a judge this season. She actually does a good job.

Results

Bottom 3: Big Mike Aaron Andrew Who went home: SHOCKER! No one went home. They used the save on Big Mike which I thought was a wise choice on the part of the judges.

Here is how the botttom 3 have rated for me since the beginning of the top 24 shows

Andrew

Week 2: 10 Week 3: 5 Week 4: 4 Week 5: 4 Last Week: 9 This week : 9

Perhaps I am being a bit too generous with my ratings for Andrew's performances because when I look back to the entries I wrote on the particular show I realize that most of his performances have been weak and inconsistant. The past two performances have certainly redeemed him but I honestly don't think he is that great. I think it's between him and Tim going home next week.

Aaron

Week 2: 8 Week 3 9 Week 4 :5 Week 5 4 Last Week 8 This Week 9

The reason why he rated so low in weeks 4 and 5 was mostly due to poor song choices or the fact that song was just not a good fit for him. Other than that he has been pretty consistant. He is very impressive for 16 years old.

Big Mike

He has also been really consistant overall typically rating a 9 or a 10. His only two weak perfromances were this week and a few weeks ago. That was mostly due to poor song choice.

Next week Adam Lambert is the mentor. Should be good. I HOPE THE THEME IS BROADWAY!

Hiatus

So technically this blog only has one follower but i am not sure how many follow it anonymously. As most people can tell I have been absent from posting in this blog for two months. Since I got back from my vacation in FLA at the end of February I have been busy with starting my new job and searching for summer employment so I haven't gotten much opportunity to write more fan fiction. I do have three works in progress.
1. Collaboration with fellow fanfiction.com writer Star's Snowflake Little Shop of Horrors fic General plot : Seymour & Mr. Mushnik devise a plan to kill Audrey II. As both of us have rather busy and hectic schedules this may take awhile to complete
2. Grease Fan Fiction- The Preganancy Talk Rizzo gets preganant and her and Kenickie discuss how such a life changing event will impact their college plans.
3 Bye Bye Biride- Harvey Johnson discovers he is gay and has romantic feelings for Hugo Peabody. Hopefully this one will not be to controversial.

Latest Milford Cabinet Article

“Children of Eden” Sure To Impress Audiences
By Janine Leffler

Rehearsals for the Amherst PTA Play, “Children of Eden” have been in full swing for three months now. The cast, which contains a mixture of seasoned and new performers, looks forward to putting on heartwarming performances for all audiences.

There can many challenges to be apart of a cast of a musical. First time performer, Jack Kane is a sixth grade student at Amherst Middle School. For him being in this show has been a real learning experience. In comparison to other shows he has done he finds the biggest challenge about this production to be scheduling and alot of late rehearsals.

One challenge that Dave Ostrowski who plays Cain has faced is “Cain is not really mentioned very much in the bible so we had to improvise a lot for this character.”
John Ogdodwyck who typically leads an orchestra is now playing the leading role of Father. He finds this experience to contrast differently, “When you’re directing an orchestra you’re one on one with the audience. This is live action. You’re trying to portray so much more on the stage.”

Learning lines can always be a difficult thing for any actor but these actors take this difficulty in stride using various methods. These methods include listening to them in the car on the way to work, going over them with family members and listening to the soundtrack

When asked what the best part of playing their characters is, Jack Kane and Dave Ostrowski share similar sentiment in saying that emotion is a key factor. Kane’s character is a storyteller. “The fun part about being a storyteller is exaggerating feelings because there are no limits to the emotions you can portray.” Ostrowski enjoys the following about playing Cain “This character portrays a lot of great emotional depth and that has been the best thing about playing it.”

Overall the most fulfilling thing for director Alan Kaplan has been being connected to the story and bringing it to life. Jack Kane has enjoyed this experience as well. “It’s been a really fun show to work on. I really like the cast and all the new friends I have made in the process.”

The cast is looking forward to putting on the performance for audiences. Performances of Children of Eden are April 10-13th at the Souhegan High School Theatre. Show times are 7:00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Come out and enjoy the show!

GAME ON!

American Idol Week 5 Top 10 R&B/Soul
Best week of American Idol this season. Not a weak performane at all. Things are really starting to step up and this is really starting to feel like a compettion.
Performance Ratings on 1-10 Scale
1 horrible 10 Amazing
10 Crystal and Big Mike
Crystal continues to impress me. She really broke out of her comfort zone this week by playing the piano. Big Mike gave hus third outstanding performance in a row. He was truly in his element tonight
9 Katie Andrew and Casey
Katie was a show stopper ...and a vote getter for me! She did an amazing rendition of Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools. She has been one of my favorites since the beginning and I hope she makes it to the top 5. After a string of mediocre performances Andrew redeemed himself with an amazing performance of Forever. Great song choice and great connection with the song. Casey did amazing and was another person who wasi in his element. I think he has a good chance of getting in the top 5 as well.
8 Lee and Aaron Aaron stepped up his game in my eyes. He has been rated between 6 or 7 in recently weeks but his performance was far better I felt then those of the past few weeks including last week's which was affected by sicknesss. Lee continues to impress me. It was hard to choose between him and Casey when it came down to wire for voting.
7.5 Didi Tim and Siobhann
Siobhann is usually in my top but she dropped down a couple notches. I liked her song choice and thought she did ok but she has had better performances in the past couple weeks. I also think she needs to stop screaming so much when she sings. That kind of thing works for Adam Lambert but does not suit her well at all. Tim was much improved over last week's performace but overall he has been a mediocre peformer and I actually kind of hope he goes home this week because I am getting bored with him. I feel the same way about Didi to be perfectly honest.
Results!
Bottom 3: Katie Didi Tim Who went home: Didi
This week's bottom 3 was not at all shocking. I actualy would have perferrd to see Andrew in the bottom because if you look at the big picture he has been inconsistant since the beginning of the performance shows. Didi only lacked a little bit in the consistancy department she just got stuck with horrible song choices. Katie has been in the bottom 3 two weeks in a row so that can't be a good sign. Hopefully enough people vote for her next week to keep her out of the bottom. I hope Tim goes home next week. I am so bored with him.
Next week's theme: Lennon/MCartney Song Book
Songs I'd like to hear the contestants sing
Lee Revolution
Andrew Let It Be
Aaron Yesterday
Casey Hard Day's Night
Katie Imagine
Tim I Wanna Hold Your Hand
